The mission of the F3 Land Use Action team is to:

1) Ensure the appropriate implementation of the Flagstaff Area Regional Land Use and Transportation Plan by monitoring the development of:

• Roads and major transportation corridors;
• Residential developments; and
• Commercial developments

2) Advocate for:

• Smart Growth and New Urbanism principles*;
• The acquisition of more open space;
• The preservation of wildlife corridors;
• The meaningful protection of viewsheds; and
• The incorporation of sustainable stormwater runoff management in all development projects;

3) Monitor the City’s efforts to use the bond money to purchase the properties identified by the Open Spaces Commission.

The Land Use Action Team will work within the Flagstaff Metropolitan Planning Organization (FMPO) boundary.
