Let's make sure our Council makes the only responsible decision in regards to our drinking water and votes NO on any new/amended contract that would allow snowmaking with this precious resource we are running out of. Here's what you can do:

  • Come to the special council meeting on Monday at 5:30 pm at Sinagua High School and speak up against any new or amended contract with AZ Snowbowl.
  • E-mail the City Council members at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Sign the Water is Life petition to urge the Council to say NO
  • Learn about the reasons why using drinking water for snowmaking is irresponsible by reading Friends of Flagstaff's Future's letter to the Council.

    • When: Saturday, March 6
    • Time: 5:30 - 8 pm
    • Place: ARD Building - NAU Campus - Glass fronted, behind Target
    • Potluck: Please bring a dish to share

    • F3 is keeping an eye on many local issues. HOW? With advocacy work now organized around several Action Teams – sustainable economy, energy, water, transportation, social justice, transitioning away from fossil fuel dependence, and land use and open space. To effectively coordinate these Teams, F3 will hold an Action Team Summit (and potluck) on Saturday, March 6 from 5:30 pm – 8 pm at the ARD building (glass fronted, behind Target) on the NAU campus.

Summit discussion will include partnership mapping, frameworks for action, and proposed Team projects for 2010. If you’re on an Action Team, lend your voice. If not – join a Team at the Summit. Action Teams also have standing monthly meetings. Consult the current newsletter (mailed last week) for more info, or contact the F3 office at 928-556-8663 or email us
